After more than 15 years of serving the Riverside community, the Riverside County Black Chamber of Commerce is stepping into a new phase of growth and impact, an industry-driven approach built on a deep understanding of where we must go next.
Over the years, we've worked closely with entrepreneurs, families, and underserved communities, helping people access healthcare, build businesses, and connect to critical resources. Through that work, we've gained a real understanding of what people are facing day to day.
That's what led us to rethink our approach. As part of this evolution, we are introducing a new organizational direction designed to meet this moment with greater focus and impact.
We are applying what we've learned to create targeted solutions that connect real community needs with real economic opportunity. Our work continues in collaboration with key partners, including Covered California, Southern California Edison, and the California Conservation Corps, organizations that share our commitment to expanding access, creating opportunity, and strengthening communities.
This is the work ahead.

The Riverside County Black Health & Wellness Foundation is guided by a Board of Directors committed to strengthening community health, expanding access to care, supporting healthy aging, and building sustainable pathways to wellness and opportunity.
Our Board provides governance, financial oversight, strategic guidance, and accountability as the Foundation develops and advances initiatives serving Riverside County and surrounding communities. We believe strong community impact begins with strong leadership.
Dr. Shané P. Teran brings experience in leadership development, organizational wellness, workforce resilience, and organizational readiness.
Her work supports leaders and organizations in strengthening culture, improving capacity, and preparing for changing workforce and community needs.
As Board Chair, Dr. Teran provides leadership to the Board and helps guide the Foundation's strategic direction, governance, and commitment to developing healthier and stronger organizations and communities.
Attorney Monroe Mabon brings a legal and governance perspective to the Foundation's leadership.
As Board Secretary, he supports the integrity of the Foundation's governance process, corporate records, Board actions, and organizational accountability.
His participation strengthens the Foundation's commitment to responsible governance and long-term institutional development.
Sylvia Jackson serves as Board Treasurer and supports the Foundation's commitment to sound financial stewardship and accountability.
The Treasurer works with the Board and executive leadership to support appropriate financial oversight, reporting, internal controls, and responsible use of charitable resources.
Her role helps ensure that the Foundation continues to build the financial systems necessary to support sustainable community impact.
Pepi Jackson provides executive leadership for the Riverside County Black Health & Wellness Foundation and is responsible for the organization's day-to-day operations, program development, partnerships, community engagement, and resource development.
Under his leadership, the Foundation is building pathways that connect health, healthy aging, healthcare access, organizational capacity, environmental resilience, and community opportunity.
The President/CEO works in partnership with the Board of Directors while maintaining a clear distinction between executive management and the Board's independent governance responsibilities.
